Hilarious Terror...

Scorching rays on a deserted afternoon
And, i see it standing next to me;giant, scary and haunting
Without thinking twice i run;wondering has it come to kill me;destroy my happiness
As afraid as i can be, to look in any direction; i run as fast as i can.. hoping for some life at some end
I can see it following me non stop and the feeling of rays is unbearable
I should not get nervous or else it will think i am scared
My head is bursting with all sort of ideas
Running away is not all that easy i realize; it runs almost at my pace
And, i can not do it anymore; i try to bring together my courage
Finally! I stop and decided to look at it
I was in tears but strangely not because i was crying but because i was not able to stop laughing at myself
I thought am i so scared of the people today that my own shadow made me panic
And i realized that's what terror does to you...

Sound of Silence

It hops from one face of the tunnel to another
You can see it trickling down from her cheek
It hits you the moment you see her ;the vibes can make you uncomfortable
Ah! and they complain she never spoke what she went through; she never spoke of her pain
They fuss they din't know;they fuss they couldnot care
I say if you couldnot hear the sound of silence;you will never be able to hear the words
She has gone through a lot in life;her half burnt face speaks about it
The questions about her life is piercing her;she stands still
She choose to be silent coz she didnot want to go through the pain of uttering it all over again i guess

I believe the silence was loud enough to understand; silence was calm enough to pinch;silence was deep enough to freeze
But guess some people only listen to words; they can not listen to the silence...

Black...

It was dark and gloomy
And I wanted the sun to show me the way
The road looked rocky and I wondered how difficult its gonna be
The man to my right looked calm and quiet and I questioned myself why isn’t he worried about the problems ahead
The cloud is getting darker and I wish someone could take me out from here
We walk together n I dread the pain ahead
I trembled; I complained; I made faces
The sun was blamed; the cloud and rocks as well
I did not see him speak a word neither he complained
Somehow I managed to reach the place
I looked aside for him and could not stop from asking
How did you manage it so calmly?
Why didn’t you complain about the sun, cloud and the road?
And the reply comes; that I was more able than him
Puzzled I was and he says he dint know if it was gloomy neither did he know about the roads
It was easy for him as he could not see the problems ahead he said
I looked at him again; could not utter a word though
He walked ahead and I had a guilty ridden face

Chasing away from differences

I am black; that's what the white told me
For village people I belonged to the city
For South I came from the North side
Some claim that my religion is different from theirs
For illiterate I was the literate one
Some claim that I don’t celebrate their festivals
Yeah I know there are differences coz we have learnt to see that way; we never see the similarities instead

Till the end!!

On the hill my toes are waiting
Stumbling in the darkness;I'm lost and alone
The air feels heavy;everything just goes by

The sun has gone deep below
And, I know there is no light to go back
I can’t pretend any more
It’s a sinking feeling when
I still don’t see any signs of you

It’s not the feeling which I like
Though I know I will wait till the end
And yes my toes will wait till the end....

Titli beyond the fences!!

It’s a beautiful morning as I walk across this place
The sun rays are as soft and mild as it could be
The dew on the flowers can still be seen
It looks like a diamond in the cotton sky
It all looks perfect till I saw
those fences
Placed almost in the middle it disconnected the beauty
You feel stuck like that small butterfly
Amongst those colorful flowers, it must have never thought of these black fences
With battered wings, it makes an effort to fly
Will it fly again; its strength slowly begins to die
It doesn’t scream or we are just not able to hear it
Its strange coz we can scream but there are still fences around us
Finally it moved and I can see it’s breathing all over again
I watched it go away; far away from those fences to the other side slowly & steadily then

You freed yourself but we are still bound with different kind of fences
I don’ want fences dividing us…
I want to remove them or I wish…. I was like you

Handicap at our own convenience!

The sound of ambulance siren does not reach us... after all we are in more hurry to reach the next signal. Who is bothered if the ambulance got the pass or not.
The doors are shut and so do our ears. The cries of domestic violence don’t reach us. Who cares it’s their family issue.

We are deaf people who become deaf at our own convenience….

Our eyes can see the poor rickshaw driver paying bribe to the police neither can it see a bunch of hooligans teasing a girl in broad day light… we want to carry on.. Isn’t that happens every day …

We are blind people who become blind at our own convenience….

We forget to speak out seeing a girl child being discriminated against a boy child or seeing a 7 year old boy working in a bangle factory
Its not going to change so easily... it’s been like that for years now isn’t ?

We are mute people who become mute at our own convenience….
